Position Summary

This hands‑on leadership role requires strong technical expertise, customer interaction, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform inspections and functional testing of fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Ensure systems comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Produce detailed and accurate inspection reports, including deficiencies and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during inspections.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior inspectors and technicians.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, minor repairs, and system diagnostics.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Coordinate schedules and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Required Qualifications
  • NICET Certification (Level II or higher preferred; Level I minimum required)
  • 3+ years of experience inspecting fire alarm or related life safety systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, codes, and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot low‑voltage electrical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Level II or higher.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles.
  • Experience with inspection software and reporting tools.

  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and circuitry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and operating ladders or lifts.
Working Conditions
  • Work performed on active construction sites or customer facilities under varied climate conditions.
  • Travel may be required based on customer needs.
  • Overtime may be necessary to meet deadlines or emergency demands.
