Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Aircraft Survivability / Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer to support aircraft survivability programs. This is a fully funded, immediate-fill position, based in the Chantilly, VA area.

The candidate will advise on research, development, procurement, integration, testing, and sustainment of survivability systems and manage a portfolio with attention to schedule, cost, and performance.

Qualifications

• Current and active TS/SCI with Polygraph required. No exceptions.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 12-15 years of specialized experience in engineering and program management within the government or military aviation industry.
• Familiarity with government acquisition processes and budget cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and build partnerships across the enterprise.
• Ability to perform complex tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist and advise the customer in the research, evaluation, development, procurement, integration, testing, and sustainment of aircraft survivability systems.
• Support management of a portfolio of programs, including monitoring technical, schedule, and cost performance.
• Analyze technical alternatives and support risk-management activities.
• Review program expenditures and invoices against approved spend plans and support development of future-year budget requests.
• Support range testing of aircraft survivability equipment.
• Support logistics and lifecycle management of survivability equipment, including tracking installations, monitoring purchases and deliveries, ensuring property tracking, and coordinating hardware movements.
• Develop strategies and plans leveraging emerging technologies and CONOPS to enhance aircraft survivability.
