Job summary

STS Aviation Services is hiring Lead Aircraft Structures Technicians for our overhaul and repair station in Melbourne, Florida. These are direct full-time roles working primarily on Airbus A320 and CRJ aircraft.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid A&P licence, have at least 4 years of sheet metal experience on commercial or large regional aircraft, and at least 2 years in a lead/supervisory role. Ability to obtain airport licensing and pass a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Valid A&P licence is required.
• Ability to obtain an airport licence and all necessary badging.
• Must hold a valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum 4 years as an aircraft sheet metal technician maintaining and repairing commercial/large regional aircraft; comparable military experience acceptable.
• Minimum 2 years as a Lead Aircraft Structures Technician or Supervisor.
• Willing and able to work whatever shift and schedule is required.
• Must pass a background check.

Role Overview

STS Aviation Services is hiring Lead Aircraft Structures Technicians to join its overhaul and repair station in Melbourne, Florida. These are direct full-time positions working predominantly on Airbus A320 and CRJ aircraft.

Licences & Qualifications

• Valid A&P licence is required
• Must have the ability to obtain an airport licence and all necessary badging
• Must hold a valid driver's licence
• Experience Minimum 4 years as an aircraft sheet metal technician maintaining and repairing commercial and/or large regional aircraft; comparable military experience is acceptable
• Minimum 2 years as a Lead Aircraft Structures Technician or Supervisor

Requirements

• Willing and able to work whatever shift and schedule is required
• Must not be under a doctor's care with limited work restrictions
• Must pass a background check
• Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs and work stands unassisted
• Able to bend, kneel, crawl and stoop frequently in confined spaces
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Willing to work in an environment subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Good judgement in a team environment and in aircraft maintenance and safety
• Problem-solving and organisational skills
• Able to read and understand company and manufacturer manuals
• All candidates must currently be authorised to work in the United States
