Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a Structures Lead to manage advanced aircraft structural work. You will lead projects, coordinate manpower, and ensure work is performed from drawings and written instructions while maintaining FAA guidelines.

The role requires 3–5 years in aircraft maintenance, a high school diploma, and preferably an Airframe and Powerplant license. You will supervise crews, maintain quality, and communicate clearly with engineering, QA, and customer teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of aircraft structures, fastening systems, procedures and techniques.
• Ability to lead small projects and coordinate workflow.
• Experience reading drawings and blueprints; work from written instructions.
• Strong English communication; teamwork and problem solving.
• FAA guidelines compliance and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components with precision.
• Maintain quality control on assigned projects.
• Supervise, instruct, and train assigned crew members.
• Coordinate with other aircraft crews to minimize interference and ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide input to Engineering and Quality Assurance for modifications and repairs.
• Address disciplinary issues and problem resolution.
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English; follow supervisor directions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
