Job summary

Coulson Aviation in Thermal, CA is seeking a Structures Aircraft Maintenance - Manager to lead structures personnel and perform hands-on maintenance across large fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. The role combines supervision with active maintenance tasks and requires ensuring compliance with approved data and return-to-service signoffs.

The candidate will coordinate with Engineering, Quality/Inspection, and leadership to manage scope, parts, and schedules, while maintaining safety and cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in heavy maintenance.
• Demonstrated structures experience on large fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft (C-130, B737, CH-47, S-61 preferred).
• Solid understanding of FAA and TCAA regulations.
• Familiar with Aircraft Structural Repair Manuals and appropriate sign-offs.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate preferred.
• Ability to perform or support maintenance record entries and return-to-service documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned structures personnel while actively engaged in maintenance and repair.
• Perform hands-on structures work on aircraft: repairs, modifications, inspections, layout, fabrication, drilling, riveting, sealing, corrosion repair.
• Interpret technical data and ensure work is per approved data.
• Research repairs and order parts/tools for maintenance scope.
• Provide progress updates to VP of Structures and leadership on scope status, constraints, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality/Inspection, Crew Chiefs and VP of Structures for data-supported repairs and signoffs.
• Work with crew chiefs to ensure signoffs are made in logbooks and on Form 337 as required.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize structures labor to support schedules and priorities.
• Other duties as assigned by VP or DOM USA.
