Job summary

AeroMech in Mukilteo, WA is seeking an experienced structural engineer to develop and substantiate aircraft structural designs for FAA STC projects across multiple platforms. You will evaluate concepts, perform static analyses, and prepare certification data.

You will lead project teams, review drawings, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with certification and manufacturing groups. The role is in-office in Mukilteo with competitive benefits including health, 401(k), PTO, and performance

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in static structures and stress substantiation for aircraft systems.
• Experience leading aircraft structure modification projects and STC development.
• Proficiency in FEA and SolidWorks with ability to review installations.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and substantiate structural designs for STC programs.
• Evaluate new design concepts and perform static stress analyses.
• Prepare substantiation reports and other certification data.
• Lead structures engineering project teams through all phases of modification.
• Review engineering drawings and installation designs.
