Job summary

ASKA develops a hybrid-electric drive-and-fly vehicle. The Lead Structural Stress Analysis Engineer leads aircraft structural stress analysis and substantiation, owning the review quality and the airframe substantiation baseline.

Based at Eagle Field Airport, Firebaugh, CA with split on-site/hybrid work; Bay Area candidates preferred and relocation welcomed. Remote work is not fully offered, but some analysis may be done remotely with client approval and occasional Eagle Field visits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading structural stress analysis for aircraft structures.
• Ability to build and verify finite element models and load paths.
• Knowledge of materials/joint assumptions and substantiation baselines.

Responsibilities

• Lead stress analysis work and review quality for airframe substantiation.
• Develop and verify FEA models and conduct static, buckling and modal analyses.
• Plan tests and correlate stiffness, strain and modal response.
• Document controlled stress reports and interfaces with Loads, Airframe Design, Materials, Manufacturing, Test and Aircraft Systems.
