Job summary

flyExclusive is seeking a Lead Paint Technician in North Carolina. The role requires advanced knowledge of aircraft painting, with duties across prep, priming, painting and finishing between hangars.

You will supervise others, ensure safety, and coordinate materials and scheduling in a dynamic, outdoor hangar environment. The position demands endurance for variable shifts, weekend work, and a strong focus on quality and FAA-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Possess a valid driver's license and US Passport preferred.
• At least 10+ years current corporate jet experience in stripping, sanding, priming and painting.

Responsibilities

• Attend work daily as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
• Notify Manager/Director in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
• Overseeing prepping and painting aircraft per maintenance manuals.
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
• Sanding, priming, painting and detailing of aircraft.
• Train team members to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Schedule with parts department to ensure materials are available.
• Paint shop quality control to include buy-off of all processes.
• Maintain the paint shop and work facilities in a clean, orderly manner.
• Delegate tasks to qualified subordinates as needed; still responsible overall.
• Any other duties assigned by Manager/Supervisor or Director.
