Job summary

Air Transport International is seeking a Lead Mechanic to oversee overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components and powerplants in accordance with company and manufacturer manuals.

The role requires DOT/FAA pre-employment screening, FAA licenses, experience on 757/767 aircraft, and strong communication with customers and crew. Travel and training may be required within ATI’s maintenance network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.
• Experience with 757/767 aircraft.
• Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers; stand, bend, and reach; sit for extended periods; and comply with attendance requirements.
• Parts 121, 125, 145; Heavy transport category aircraft experience preferred.
• Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a).
• Shall have a valid passport or the ability to get one.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment and associated components in accordance with Company manuals and manufacturer manuals.
• Lead Mechanics will monitor and provide guidance for tasks, company processes/procedures, sign for work accomplished and Buy Back for those assigned to Lead.
• Remain alert for defective, worn or failed parts and maintain safe working conditions.
• Monitor station requirements such as housekeeping and ensure those assigned maintain work area and repair of company property.
• Perform all tasks assigned by Supervisor or higher management.
• Lead Mechanic authority under RII provisions; report to Director of Quality Control.
• Attend all Company training classes.
