Job summary

telstaffing seeks a senior engineer to lead major, complex projects requiring advanced technical knowledge. You will decide on critical approaches, develop innovative solutions, and drive standards while guiding cross-disciplinary teams. Onsite position; ITAR compliance and continuous improvement are essential, with collaboration across powerplant, enviro control, structures, electrical and mechanical domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 13 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years in multiple disciplines with a Bachelor's.
• Advanced degree credits considered for related advanced degrees (Masters/PhD) in applicable fields.
• Onsite, full-time work; candidate must be ITAR-qualified.
• Smarteam and Catia experience in reviewing proposed designs and workflows; ability to liaise with internal/external teams.
• Experience with continuous improvement and how it relates to M&P.

Responsibilities

• Lead an entire engineering project of major complexity within established scope.
• Make technical decisions and recommendations with broad impact on engineering activities.
• Apply advanced principles based on broad expertise.
• Lead development of innovative principles and ideas.
• Determine improved methods to optimize product, cost and schedule.
• Work under consultative direction with independent judgment.
• Develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
• Plan investigations in critical areas lacking established precedents.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
