Job summary

Waltzing Matilda Aviation LLC is seeking an experienced CRJ200 maintenance manager and lead A&P for our Dallas Love Field operations. You will oversee induction activities in Monterrey, oversee the maintenance program, and lead the Dallas team to ensure a compliant and efficient operation.

This role requires an FAA A&P certificate and extensive CRJ200/CRJ100 experience, with readiness to travel and relocate as needed. The base salary is $180,000 with relocation and benefits.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate in good standing.
• Substantial CRJ100/200 or CL-65 experience with CF34-3B1 engine familiarity.
• Experience leading maintenance teams under Part 121/135 programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee induction oversight in Monterrey, coordinate inspections and milestones.
• Lead Dallas maintenance activities and ensure compliance with CAPs and MEL.
• Administer CF34-3B1 engine program, including borescope and trend monitoring.
• Recruit, train and supervise a small technician team and vendors.

CRJ200 Maintenance Manager and Lead A&P

Dallas Love Field (KDAL)|$180,000 base|Full-time|Relocation assistance|Reports to the Director of Maintenance

Waltzing Matilda Aviation is an FAA Part 135 aircraft management and charter operator launching a two-aircraft, 30-seat premium CRJ200 charter program based at Dallas Love Field. We are seeking an experienced CRJ200 maintenance professional to oversee the aircraft through induction and then lead the maintenance program in Dallas.

This is an opportunity to take technical ownership of a focused two-aircraft fleet, build the Dallas station properly from the outset and work directly with senior management without the layers of a large airline organization.

The role

Phase one Induction oversight in Monterrey Mexico

October and November 2026. The aircraft will undergo maintenance and refurbishment at an MRO facility in Monterrey, Mexico. This is not a full-time on-site assignment. The successful candidate will commute from the United States as required to oversee key work stages and acceptance milestones. All authorized travel, lodging, local transportation and per diem will be covered.

• Represent WMA with the MRO and coordinate oversight visits around inspections, material findings, modification milestones and technical acceptance.
• Review the work package and track discrepancies from initial inspection through corrective action and closure, with clear visibility on schedule and technical risk.
• Audit records for FAA conformity, including airworthiness directive and service bulletin status, life-limited part traceability and FAA Form 8130-3 documentation.
• Coordinate the buyer modification program, including the interior, connectivity and livery workstreams.
• Lead technical acceptance and support return to service.

Phase two Dallas maintenance leadership

From entry into service. Permanently based at Dallas Love Field (KDAL).

• Establish the Dallas station, including hangar arrangements, tooling, ground support equipment and initial parts provisioning.
• Lead day-to-day line maintenance and compliance under the continuous airworthiness maintenance program, including scheduled inspections, deferrals and MEL management, required inspection items and mechanical interruption reporting.
• Administer the CF34-3B1 engine program, including utilization reporting, borescope and trend monitoring, and engine change coordination.
• Recruit, train and supervise a small technician team and manage specialist vendors when required.
• Support FAA conformity inspections and proving flights as the CRJ200 is added to WMA's certificate.

What we require

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate in good standing.
• Substantial hands-on CRJ100/200 or CL-65 experience, including direct familiarity with the CF34-3B1 engine.
• Experience in CRJ line or heavy maintenance, with sufficient breadth to oversee qualified providers and specialists in the other environment.
• Demonstrated work under a Part 121 or Part 135 continuous airworthiness maintenance program.
• Strong records, technical publications and discrepancy-control discipline.
• Eligible to hold required inspection item authorization.
• Experience leading a maintenance station, shift or aircraft program with limited supervision.
• A valid passport and the ability to travel to Monterrey, Mexico as required during October and November 2026.
• Willingness to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for aircraft entry into service.
• Eligibility for a TSA criminal history records check and DOT and FAA drug and alcohol testing under 14 CFR Part 120. Valid driver's license.

Preferred experience

• Inspection Authorization and engine run and taxi qualification on type.
• Experience supporting a type addition to a Part 135 certificate, including conformity inspection.
• Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 avionics experience.
• Established relationships with CRJ maintenance providers and parts suppliers.

Compensation and support

• $180,000 base salary.
