Job summary

Saltchuk Aviation is seeking a Lead Technician to oversee maintenance on company aircraft in Anchorage. You will lead a team of technicians, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate with NAC Flight Followers on aircraft status.

Strong supervisory experience and an FAA A&P certificate are required, with travel up to 20% for outstation work. The role emphasizes adherence to FAA regulations, proper documentation, and staff development to maintain high reliability and safety in operations across

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA Technician Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• Minimum 2 years of supervising maintenance experience on the type of aircraft.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for outstation work.

Responsibilities

• Leads Technicians on all maintenance for company aircraft.
• Communicates Aircraft status for AOG situations and updates NAC Flight Followers.
• Monitors Aircraft Status Board and ensures timely availability planning.
• Audits work packages, forms, and records for accuracy and timely submission.
• Provides on‑the‑job training to Apprentices toward the A&P license.
• Ensures safety reporting and incident documentation as required.
