Job summary

Saltchuk Aviation seeks a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance staff and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with FAA regulations. The role requires FAA A&P certification and hands-on leadership across NAC aircraft maintenance in Alaska.

Responsibilities include leading technicians on scheduled and unscheduled work, coordinating MEL usage, deicing, and ensuring timely aircraft release while maintaining documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret FAA regulations and manuals.
• Clear oral and written instruction, with effective staff communication.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Technicians on all Maintenance, Scheduled and Unscheduled, performed on Company Aircraft.
• Open AireXpert narrative for AOG status and communicate to NAC Flight Followers.
• Monitor Aircraft Status and provide updates on Advise Time or Return to Service.
• Audit Work Packages, Inspection Forms, Log Pages, and Records for accuracy.
• Monitor MEL usage and expedite parts when necessary.
• Ensure timely inspection and release of aircraft for flight.
