Job summary

Breeze Airways is hiring a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to lead AMTs, ensure maintenance aligns with GMM and Breeze policy, and communicate with MOC on aircraft status. Candidates must hold an FAA A&P license and have 5+ years of aviation experience.

The role is on-site, requires travel up to 20%, and includes performance bonuses and shift differential for night work. Competitive entry pay up to $39/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement.
• Must hold a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft types.
• 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience maintaining commercial aircraft.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions.
• Must have the authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Must be flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
• Must be willing to travel 20% of the time.
• Must be willing to work with other departments within the company as needed.
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
• Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in accordance with TSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, leads, and directs the work of AMTs under supervision.
• Ensures all work complies with Breeze GMM and policy.
• Accountable for all work at the local station.
• Communicates with MOC regarding aircraft status.
• Complete Breeze forms for all work performed.
• Handle parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft during repair.
• Keep documentation current for discrepancies and corrections.
• Submit accurate documentation for maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and account for tools.
• Care for and use tooling and equipment properly.
• Notify supervisor of any condition affecting airworthiness.
• Maintain valid A&P or Repairman certificate for inspection by FAA/NTSB/Breeze.
