What you can expect as a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star:

Your primary focus will be leading a team of technicians to produce timely, high-quality, and accurate results. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, inquisitive, and possess critical thinking, with strong problem-solving skills and a technical orientation. Efficiency and quality are equally important, along with effective manpower utilization and project management.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including:

• Leading the team to complete tasks, using good judgment in handling daily operations and knowing when to escalate issues.
• Implementing a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce aircraft turnaround time.
• Training and mentoring technicians.
• Supervising team members' daily workloads.
• Working independently on projects and leading multiple assignments, ensuring schedule adherence and quality.
• Performing general mechanical functions on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components, repairs, and sheet metal work.
• Troubleshooting and evaluating aircraft systems.
• Inspecting and evaluating aircraft and components.
• Conducting aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing as needed.
• Maintaining shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
• Collaborating with customers on project management, pricing, and support roles.
• Communicating effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.
