What you can expect as a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star:

As a Lead, your main focus will be leading a team of technicians to produce timely, high-quality, and accurate results. Success requires analytical thinking, curiosity, critical thinking, imagination, and strong problem-solving skills. Your role will involve utilizing manpower effectively and directing project flow.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including:

• Leading the team to complete jobs/tasks, using good judgment and knowing when to involve your manager.
• Implementing a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Seeking opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time.
• Training and mentoring technicians.
• Supervising team members in daily workload.
• Working independently on projects and leading multiple projects, ensuring schedule and quality standards.
• Performing general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems, including removal and installation of panels and components, repairs, and sheet metal work.
• Troubleshooting and evaluating aircraft systems.
• Inspecting and evaluating aircraft and components.
• Performing aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing as required.
• Maintaining shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
• Collaborating with customers on project management, pricing, and support.
• Communicating effectively in English (speaking, writing, reading).
• Performing other duties as assigned.
