Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Bombardier Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Perryville, MO. The role requires leading a team to deliver high-quality maintenance and repairs on aircraft, following FAA guidelines and safety rules.

The candidate should have 8+ years of aviation maintenance experience, 4+ years in program-specific airframes, and an Airframe & Powerplant license. Expect minimal supervision and the ability to guide multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• A valid driver’s license is ideal but not mandatory.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Minimal supervision and ability to lead small groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs/tasks and manage day-to-day tasks.
• Implement strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Seek opportunities to reduce turn time of aircraft.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and project execution.
• Work independently on multiple projects with emphasis on schedule and quality.
• Perform general mechanical work on aircraft and related systems (panels, components, repairs).
• Troubleshoot/evaluate systems and inspect aircraft and components.
• Coordinate with customers on project management and pricing.
