Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to lead a team of technicians in a high‑quality maintenance environment. You will manage project flow, perform mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, and ensure FAA guidelines are followed across multiple projects.

The role requires an A&P license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 8+ years in aviation maintenance with 4+ years on certain airframes. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent and Airframe & Powerplant License.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes; 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• Self-motivation and ability to perform in fast-paced environments with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to produce timely, high-quality results.
• Mentor and train technicians; supervise daily workload and project flow.
• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and systems, including panels, repairs, and sheet metal work.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems; inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Coordinate multiple projects and communicate clearly with customers and supervisors.
