Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the Perryville, Missouri location. This 2nd shift role focuses on leading a team of technicians to deliver high-quality maintenance and timely project completion in an on-site hangar environment.

You will supervise technicians, mentor staff, and coordinate multiple projects while performing general mechanical tasks and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and A&P license required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to work overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete necessary jobs/tasks with sound judgment.
• Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities to reduce turn time of aircraft.
• Mentor and train technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and ensure quality.
