Job summary

Embraer in Nashville seeks an experienced Lead Technician to perform routine and special maintenance inspections on aircraft systems, including hydraulics, structures, interiors, and avionics. You will lead a crew and ensure repairs meet OEM data and FAA procedures.

The role requires 5+ years in aviation maintenance with leadership experience, A&P license preferred, and ability to read blueprints and work packages. You will document work, perform tests, and support certification of airworthiness.

Qualifications

High School/GED required.
A&P License preferred or Repairman required.
Minimum 2 years leadership experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience in at least one aircraft type.
Mastery in at least one aircraft discipline: General Maintenance, Structures, Interiors, Avionics.
Experience interpreting OEM data or work packages; using power or pneumatic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Determine when a component should be repaired or replaced.
Direct and oversee Crew.
Task Card time management.
Decide upon necessary repair scheme, quantity and type of parts needed to accomplish proper repair; secure necessary parts from Stores or departmental supplies.
Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies.
Follow approved maintenance procedures per FAA, OEM data and work package instructions.
Inspect completed work and perform rework as needed; ensure repairs meet standards.
Perform serviceability tests on repaired components/systems.
Complete work package documentation by signing/stamping off.
Submit for review to Project Manager and to Quality Control for certification of airworthiness.
Provide Project Manager with performance statistics and data.
Comply with repair station procedures and SOPs.
