Job summary

FM Talent Source seeks a Lead AI Software Engineer to lead architecture and delivery of AI-enabled full-stack web applications on AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that meet government mission needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, modern engineering practices, and experience with ReactJS, Java/Python, and AI-assisted coding tools, within a SAFe environment to accelerate delivery while upholding security standards.

Qualifications

Must obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; adjudication required prior to onboarding.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or 4 years of equivalent experience.
Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience, including senior/lead roles.
Expert-level proficiency in Java or Python for backend development.
Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS for frontend development.
Experience building and deploying full-stack apps in AWS cloud environments.
Experience with workflow orchestration, relational databases, and data visualization.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI-aided coding and tools to boost productivity and quality.
Experience in SAFe environments and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, and implementation of AI-enabled full-stack web applications on AWS.
Develop and maintain end-to-end solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, workflows, and relational databases.
Design accessible, user-friendly interfaces compliant with accessibility standards.
Architect and manage RDBMS data models for transactional and analytical use cases.
Build and integrate workflow automation to support operations.
Develop data visualization features for dashboards and analytics.
Lead AI-enabled features like intelligent search and chatbots.
Use Generative AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while ensuring security.
Operate within a SAFe environment with agile release trains and cross-team coordination.
Enforce DevSecOps practices with security tooling throughout the lifecycle.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security checks.
Mentor teams and establish best practices in secure cloud-native development.
