Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior AI Security Researcher to define how frontier AI systems are tested, attacked, defended, and safely deployed. You will build methods, tools, and proofs of concept to reduce risk across models, platforms, and deployed AI-enabled products.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of AI security or related technical fields.
• Record of original research with practical impact (publications, tools, mitigations).
• Hands-on ability to build research systems in Python and ML tooling.
• Experience in AI-security areas: LLM security, adversarial ML, model eval, or automation.
• Strong cybersecurity foundation: threat modeling, defense, forensics, or incident response.
• Ability to translate research into prioritized, measurable security outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/ML/Cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience leading AI-security research for large models or platforms.
• Track record of building security ML systems at real-world scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop open-ended AI security research questions to reduce risk in frontier models and AI platforms.
• Create practical methods, prototypes, evaluations, or tools to reveal and mitigate adversarial risks.
• Explore AI security problems: LLM security, agent security, evaluation, cyber-defense automation.
• Translate research into usable outcomes: proofs, benchmarks, guidance, mitigations.
• Collaborate across security, AI research, platform, and cloud teams to align priorities.
• Mentor researchers and build repeatable evaluation practices for AI security.
