Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior AI Security Researcher to define testing, attacks, defenses, and safe deployment of frontier AI systems. You will build methods, tools, and proofs of concept to reduce security risk across models, platforms, and autonomous systems.

You will translate research into practical outcomes for engineering and security teams, mentor colleagues, and help shape NVIDIA's AI-security strategy while collaborating across security, AI research, cloud, and infrastructure groups.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in AI security, cybersecurity research, or related fields.
• Demonstrated record of original research with practical impact, including deployed systems, CVEs, or publications.
• Hands-on ability to build research systems in Python and ML/data tooling (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn, Pandas, NumPy, Spark, BigQuery).
• Experience leading AI‑security research for major models/platforms or large-scale production systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and answer open-ended AI security research questions to measure and reduce risk in frontier models and AI-enabled products.
• Develop practical methods, prototypes, evaluations, or tools to reveal failures under adversarial conditions and mitigations.
• Explore AI security problems: LLM security, adversarial ML, model evaluation, secure deployment, or autonomous response.
• Translate research into usable outcomes for engineering and security teams, including proof‑of‑concepts, benchmarks, and mitigations.
• Collaborate across offensive security, product security, AI research, platform, cloud, and infrastructure teams to connect research insights with security priorities.
• Mentor others and help shape NVIDIA's AI‑security research strategy with repeatable evaluation practices.
