Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer specializing in AI Security to design, implement, and improve security for AI systems and platforms. You will collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and security teams to assess risks, validate controls, and embed security into AI development and deployment.

The role requires strong knowledge of AI technologies, secure system design, risk management, and the ability to guide engineers and stakeholders across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• Strong experience in information security, including AI security, cloud security, and secure software engineering.
• Experience with AI security threat modeling, adversarial ML concepts, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure AI architectures and reference patterns across AI systems.
• Lead or support AI security assessments, red team activities, and AI model testing.
• Define security requirements for AI development lifecycle and ensure governance alignment.
• Document guidance, control mappings, and status updates for AI security initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers on AI security topics.
