JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Architect focused on AI and agentic security, onsite in Chicago, IL. The role aims to shape architecture for cloud-based technologies with emphasis on AI/ML security and agentic systems.

The incumbent will define a target state, govern reference architectures, and align stakeholders around risk. You will advance secure software development using firmwide AI/ML tools to strengthen threat assessment and overall security posture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity architectural experience in enterprise settings.
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages.
• Hands-on experience coding and using AI/ML and agents to improve security assessments.
• Demonstrated ownership of Security Design Reviews (SDRs), security requirements, and architecture governance for large-scale platforms.
• Proven threat modeling expertise and risk mitigation for AI/ML threats.
• Strong depth across cloud and application security, including IAM/least privilege, encryption, secrets, and network segmentation.
• Experience securing agentic AI systems and MCP-based tool/data connectivity, with guardrails.
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC/CI/CD).
• Knowledge of financial services IT environments and communicating with senior leaders.
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies for future-state architecture.

Responsibilities

• Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches for current and future cybersecurity needs.
• Define the technical target state for a cybersecurity product and drive execution of the strategy.
• Develop software and leverage AI/ML tools to enhance, automate, and improve secure design and threat assessment processes.
• Own and drive SDRs for AI/ML platforms, agentic systems, and MCP integrations, including documentation and risk considerations.
• Define and govern secure reference architectures for agentic systems and MCP-enabled workflows, including isolation, segmentation, encryption, and identity management.
• Set security requirements for authentication, authorization, data classification, and encrypted communications for MCP servers and agentic workflows.
• Conduct and maintain threat models for agentic systems, MCP servers, and LLM Suite integrations, mitigating risks such as prompt injection and data leakage.
