Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, machine learning, bioinformatics, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience designing and training deep learning models on biological data in PyTorch.
• Hands-on with single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data; QC, normalization, integration.
• Proven track record of turning research code into reproducible software.
• Strong software engineering: Python, Git, Linux, containers, cloud computing.

Responsibilities

• Own the CIFM codebase and trained models on Singleton infrastructure.
• Retrain and adapt the model on spatial transcriptomics data.
• Design and run benchmarks to evaluate model performance.
• Characterize model limitations and communicate them clearly.
• Run in silico perturbation screens to nominate targets.
• Collaborate with pharmacology team on model analysis for hypotheses.
• Present analyses to leadership, partners, investors.
• Contribute to scientific strategy, publications, and patents.
• Help hire and mentor future computational team members.
