The Senior Data Scientist role in Raleigh, NC invites an experienced leader to drive AI research initiatives for a premier analytics organization. You will own end-to-end ML projects, mentor a growing team, and partner with product and engineering to deliver transformative data-driven solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a PhD or Master’s with 6+ years, deep knowledge of LLMs (BERT, T5, RoBERTa) and generative AI, and hands-on Python or R expertise, plus experience with Spark, Hadoop or AWS.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 7–10 years of data science experience or PhD with 6+ years.
• Strong expertise in large language models and transformer architectures (BERT, T5, RoBERTa).
• Experience implementing generative AI and LLMs (GPT, Claude, Mistral).
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and modeling.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop or AWS in big data ecosystems.
• Leadership and mentoring of junior staff and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and implementation of next-generation AI solutions.
• Lead full ML lifecycle from research to deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to integrate data-driven solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and guide project teams.
• Establish governance frameworks and standards for the data science department.
