Job summary

Hippo Insurance is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own the Quoting & Distribution platform, driving end-to-end strategy from quote to binding. You will lead partnerships, define APIs, and embed AI-native enhancements across distribution channels to power growth.

You will collaborate with engineering, partnerships, and business teams to deliver scalable, reliable quoting experiences while keeping a sharp focus on metrics like conversion and GWP. This is a high-impact, technical leadership role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management with full backlog ownership and leading a team of engineers.
• Experience with quoting, rating, or distribution platforms in P&C insurance or related industries.
• Experience owning API-heavy or integration-dense platforms, managing vendor APIs and data pipelines.
• Partner or channel management exposure with agents or distribution partners.
• Bridging business and engineering with clear technical requirements.
• Proven track record of improving distribution metrics like GWP growth and quote-to-bind rates.
• Ability to define a compelling vision for a technical domain while executing in near term.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, technical, and executive audiences.
• Data-driven decision making with clear success metrics and results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• PM experience in insurance, financial services, or adjacent industries.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year product strategy and vision for Hippo’s Quoting & Distribution platform — spanning quote and bind flow, API/integrations layer, and vendor data ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities to improve quote-to-bind conversion and accelerate distribution channel growth by modernizing quoting infrastructure and embeddings AI capabilities.
• Influence company prioritization decisions for the quoting platform, aligning product, engineering, distribution, and business leadership.
• Stay ahead of trends in distribution tech, comparative raters, AI, insurtech partnerships and translate them into a roadmap.
