Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to build and operate EY's AI-native platform substrate across cloud, on‑prem, edge and air-gapped targets. You’ll own the infrastructure foundation, cluster lifecycle, and secure execution environments to enable Agentic AI workflows at scale.

This role requires deep cloud-native expertise, cross‑environment portability, and strong collaboration with security, architecture, and delivery teams. EY offers a hybrid model and broad compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS or a related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure and large Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS/AKS/GKE, K3s).
• Experience across cloud, on-prem, hybrid, and air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong knowledge of cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster and cloud-native platform including compute, scheduling, and multi-tenancy.
• Manage infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, bare-metal, DPU, and NVIDIA GPUs.
• Stand up EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped deployment.
• Deliver foundational platform capabilities to support downstream runtimes.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling, isolation per tenant.
• Ensure secure execution and inference with sandboxed execution.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD and GitOps to keep environments reproducible.
• Oversee backup, DR, and cross-environment replication.
• Maintain modular, swappable substrate with minimal vendor lock-in.
