Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is looking for a Lead DevOps/Platform Engineer to architect and deliver scalable AI platforms and cloud-native infrastructure. You will drive large-scale data orchestration, ML workflows, and agentic AI solutions while mentoring teams across software engineers, data scientists, and researchers.

The role requires onsite presence in Seattle, WA or Richland, WA, with Friday business needs and security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/MA or BS/BA with extensive software engineering experience in scientific or digital product contexts.
• Hands-on Python development with current practice.
• Experience leading platform engineering, DevOps, or MLOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of scalable AI platforms and cloud-native infrastructure.
