Job summary

RoboForce in Milpitas, CA is hiring a Lead AI Native Engineer to build vertical agents and the shared agent foundation. Reporting to the co-founder, this hands-on role combines coding, architecture, and leadership to turn frontier models into scalable systems.

You will own end-to-end development, evaluate new models, ensure reliability, and collaborate five days a week in-office with a cross-functional team to drive strategic initiatives and robust AI-powered workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, applied AI, ML systems, or related field.
• Experience at a frontier AI lab, leading AI company, or comparable team near model edge.
• Track record shipping production agentic systems relied on by users.
• Deep experience with frontier model APIs, tools, orchestration, memory, and multi-step workflows.
• Experience building evaluations, observability, and production failure-analysis loops.

Responsibilities

• Build vertical agents and end-to-end workflows across research, software, hardware, data, and operations.
• Establish the agent foundation with reusable primitives for models, tools, and execution.
• Create the context layer connecting agents to trusted data via APIs and integrations.
• Own evaluation, reliability, and monitoring across quality, latency, cost, and security.
• Advance frontier agent usage by evaluating models, SDKs, and patterns.
• Support strategic initiatives across market intelligence, partnerships, and fundraising.
• Provide technical leadership: set architecture standards and review designs.
