Mission Bit in San Francisco is seeking a Lead Instructor for the Intro to AI class. You will teach, mentor, and support a diverse group of youth, using our project-based curriculum to explore computer science and AI concepts.

You’ll plan two lessons per week, foster an inclusive classroom, and collaborate with teaching staff to strengthen our community-driven approach to tech education. This is a part-time, in-person role at a partner site.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, instruction, or mentoring, including leadership roles.
• Experience working with youth in educational settings.
• Experience using AI or relevant coding languages/software (college, bootcamps, internships, or work).
• Values aligned with Mission Bit and a passion for sharing CS knowledge.
• Experience working on technical projects as part of a team.
• Comfortable in public speaking with strong communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse groups of individuals.
• Self-starting with ability to work autonomously.

Responsabilités

• Deliver weekly lessons using Mission Bit’s in-house project-based curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, community-based classroom culture aligned with Mission Bit values.
• Plan and facilitate two lessons per week to a diverse group of learners.
• Ensure students develop understanding to complete a final project showcased at Demo Day.
• Foster relationships with students and provide ongoing support.
