Reuters is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help build AI-powered accounting workflow solutions. You will own backend services in Python, using FastAPI or Flask, and design scalable architectures for production-grade systems.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on Python backend experience with FastAPI/Flask.
6-8 years of backend development experience building scalable web services and APIs.
Strong Python skills and experience with API and data model design.
Experience in distributed systems and production-grade software.
Excellent debugging, collaboration, and communication skills.
Interest in AI-driven software and new engineering paradigms.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Familiarity with AI APIs from providers like OpenAI or Anthropic.

Responsibilities
