Job summary

Improving South America is seeking a hands-on Lead AI Engineer to steer a pod of three engineers building the Contract Intelligence Engine, a Databricks-based service within the Huron Vantage platform. The role blends technical leadership, AI solution design, data modeling, and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering or AI solution development.
• Strong hands-on Databricks, Python and SQL.
• Experience leading small engineering teams and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three engineers on the Contract Intelligence Engine.
• Design and evolve the canonical contract data model aligned with architecture.
• Own the AI/LLM extraction strategy for contracts, terms, and amendments.
• Design structured extraction frameworks with traceability to source clauses.
• Establish extraction validation methodologies, quality standards, and accuracy thresholds.
• Develop bi-temporal data models for historical accuracy and versioning.
• Review architecture, prompts, schemas, Python code, SQL, and PRs.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and participate in technical decisions.
• Integrate the solution into the Huron Vantage platform and service contracts.
• Ensure the solution is scalable, reliable, auditable, and production-ready.
