A mission-driven digital financial services company is hiring a Lead AI Engineer to guide the design, deployment, and business integration of Generative AI solutions across the enterprise. In this high-impact, high-visibility role, you'll drive initiatives that reshape core operations—from client interactions to internal productivity and insight generation.

Sitting within a mature Data & AI organization, this role blends strategy and execution. You’ll oversee a small, high-caliber team while remaining hands-on in prototyping, vendor selection, and solution delivery. This is a unique opportunity to scale AI adoption with meaningful, measurable impact.

THE ROLE

• Define and lead the Applied AI strategy across domains such as customer service, sales enablement, and operational efficiency
• Manage a small team of product managers and AI engineers
• Collaborate with stakeholders across internal verticals to identify high-value AI use cases
• Lead the selection and rollout of external AI solutions, prioritizing scalable, secure, and cost-effective platforms over custom-built alternatives
• Own the delivery of production-grade AI capabilities
• Create Conversational agents (voice + chat) for customer engagement
• Develop RAG-enabled knowledge tools to support internal teams
• Utilize intelligent document processing through OCR and classification
• Construct GenAI-powered summarization and analytics to drive decisions
• Maintain high standards for security, governance, and reliability across all AI implementations

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Start-up or agile environment preferred
• Strong track record deploying customer-facing voice or chat agents in production environments
• Deep technical expertise in LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and prompt engineering
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for prototyping and data workflows
• Comfortable communicating technical concepts to both senior leadership and engineering teams
• Experience with AI product/vendor selection and enterprise-scale implementations
• Background in financial services or similarly regulated industries is a plus
• Familiarity with Salesforce, voice AI platforms, Snowflake, and tools like DataRobot is a bonus

COMPENSATION

• Base salary $190,000-$220,000
• Bonus
