Our client, a leading global commercial real estate and investment management firm, is investing heavily in agentic AI to transform how its business operates. They are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions across multiple business lines, including lease administration, construction project management, portfolio management, and financial modeling. This is a hands-on leadership role for an engineer who has taken agentic AI beyond proof-of-concept and into production at enterprise scale.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design and delivery of multiple production-grade agentic AI solutions that automate and enhance core business workflows.
- Collaborate at the design level with architects and engineering teams to build scalable, enterprise-ready solutions across several business lines.
- Move solutions from rapid prototyping through hardening, deployment, and scale, applying strong engineering discipline to AI-generated components.
- Integrate large language models with enterprise applications, data platforms, and external systems.
- Serve as a key technical partner to centralized and cross-functional teams, providing support and unblocking dependencies.
- Partner with a globally distributed engineering organization, including architects based in India, with regular early-morning overlap to collaborate across time zones.
What You Will Bring
- 4+ years of experience as a senior AI/ML engineer, including multiple complete, production agentic AI implementations.
- Demonstrated success taking agentic AI solutions to enterprise-grade production and scale, not proof-of-concept only.
- Strong hands-on Python and modern AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Transformers, and PyTorch.
- Experience integrating LLMs with enterprise applications, multi-agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and prompt engineering.
- Experience with cloud AI services (Azure preferred, including Azure OpenAI), vector databases, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven ability to collaborate at the design level with architects and multiple teams across a distributed, global organization.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work early-morning hours as needed to overlap with international teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Databricks and modern data platforms.
- Forward-deployed engineering experience.
- Experience with AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI.
- Background in commercial real estate, financial services, or a related data-rich domain.
Compensation And Benefits
- Compensation: $170,000 - $320,700 base salary annually, depending on work location, plus eligibility for a 20% annual target bonus.
- Base salary is calibrated to work location. Representative ranges by market: Atlanta and Dallas $170,000 - $246,700; Chicago $187,000 - $271,000; Boston $204,000 - $296,000; San Francisco $221,000 - $320,700.
