Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) seeks an AI Embedded Engineer IV to bridge AI models with vehicle-embedded compute. You will deploy models on Jetson platforms, optimize runtimes, and ensure alignment with ROS and autonomy stack interfaces.

You will lead hardware-in-the-loop work, bring up sensors and compute, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust, field-ready solutions. Travel to test sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduate-level research counts toward embedded/AI experience.
• Experience independently delivering embedded or AI integration on real hardware.
• Advanced proficiency in C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Deploy trained models to embedded CPUs/GPUs on vehicle compute, owning export, optimization, quantization, and latency budgets.
• Retrain and fine-tune existing models when field performance drifts, and validate the result on the vehicle.
• Build and maintain ROS nodes, topics, and interfaces running on the vehicle, and keep them stable under real workloads.
• Write the Python and C++ bridges that connect compute to robot control, sensor drivers, and the autonomy stack.
• Profile and tune runtime performance against constraints like compute headroom, memory, thermal, and power budgets.
• Bring up new sensors and compute hardware, including NVIDIA Jetson platforms, LiDAR, and depth/vision systems.
• Design and build sensor rigs, wiring, power, networking, and onboard recording for field testing.
• Debug cross-boundary timing, synchronization, and coordinate-frame issues across systems.
• Document approaches, results, and limitations so downstream teams can reuse them confidently.
