Job summary

Circle seeks a Lead, Third Party Security to advance how we assess and manage security risk across our vendor ecosystem. You will lead complex assessments, build AI-enabled tooling, and enable proactive, continuous risk management with partners across Security Engineering, Legal, Procurement, and business teams.

You will shape security requirements in onboarding and oversight, communicate risks clearly to stakeholders, and push automation to improve methodologies and reduce manual effort.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity, technology risk, or compliance with third party security assessments.
• Ability to independently lead complex security assessments and evaluate control effectiveness beyond checklists.
• Technical depth in cloud security, API security, networks, IAM, and cryptography.
• Hands-on use of AI/GenAI or automation to improve security workflows.
• Experience modernizing security programs with automation and new methodologies.
• Strong communication to translate risks for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security assessments of partners and vendors and translate findings into risk-based actions.
• Evolve third party security programs toward dynamic, scalable, continuous risk management.
• Design and build AI-enabled tooling for evidence analysis, risk detection, monitoring, and workflow automation.
• Establish proactive monitoring to identify emerging risks across Circle’s third party ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to apply security requirements throughout onboarding and oversight.
• Communicate material risks and gaps clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve methodologies, tooling, and processes while reducing manual effort.
