Job summary

Circle is hiring a Lead, Third Party Security to drive risk-based assessments across a global ecosystem of partners and vendors. You will build automation, AI-enabled tooling, and intelligence-driven workflows to scale proactive risk management.

You will partner with Security Engineering, Legal, and Procurement to embed security into onboarding and ongoing oversight. You will translate complex security findings into pragmatic recommendations, influence security strategy, and help Circle maintain

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, or compliance with vendor/security assessments.
• Ability to independently lead complex security assessments and evaluate control effectiveness beyond questionnaires.
• Technical depth in cloud security, API security, network architecture, IAM, and cryptography.
• Hands-on experience with AI/GenAI, automation, or tooling to improve security workflows.
• Experience modernizing programs through automation or process redesign.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to translate risks for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security assessments of partners, vendors, and third-party integrations with pragmatic, risk-based recommendations.
• Evolve the third-party security program to be dynamic, scalable, and continuous.
• Design and build AI-enabled tooling for evidence analysis, risk identification, monitoring, scoring, and workflows.
• Establish proactive monitoring to identify emerging security risks across Circle’s third-party ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Legal, Procurement, and business teams to apply security requirements in onboarding and oversight.
• Communicate material third-party risks and control gaps to stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Identify opportunities to improve methodologies, tooling, and processes while reducing manual effort.
