Job summary

Serval is seeking an Application Security Lead in San Francisco to design and scale the security program for our AI-native platform. You will set the strategy for secure software development, vulnerability management, threat modeling, and security architecture across the product and agent systems that customers rely on.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity with deep expertise in application security.
• Experience building and leading application security, secure-SDLC, and vulnerability-management functions.
• Strong leadership skills and a track record of durable program improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to influence engineering and product decisions across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate Serval's application security program across SDLC and vulnerability management.
• Mentor a team spanning product security and vulnerability management.
• Establish secure design patterns and standards across the engineering organization.
• Improve security tooling coverage (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection, CI/CD gates).
• Own the vulnerability lifecycle end-to-end from intake to remediation tracking and disclosure.
• Embed security by design with authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, data protection, and Secrets management.
