Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Data technologies) to design and implement AI-driven data solutions at scale across cloud platforms. The role supports Sandy, UT; Atlanta, GA; or Bay Area, CA, with hands-on architecture, coding, and mentoring responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will lead the development of LLM-based workflows, vector search capabilities, and data catalog layers, while advising leadership on technology strategy and ensuring robust, governed deployments across global

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years in software or data engineering with hands-on AI experience.
• Expertise in large-scale cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and similar.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java for AI pipeline development.
• Experience with vector search and OpenSearch for document/semantic retrieval.
• Experience with metadata systems or data cataloging tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven data solutions at scale across cloud platforms.
• Prototype and productionize LLM-based workflows for dynamic SQL generation and data access.
• Build and maintain vector search capabilities for document and semantic retrieval.
• Develop metadata and data catalog layers to enable LLM reasoning and discoverability.
• Build reliable, scalable data pipelines for AI workloads.
• Advise leadership on technology selection and strategic direction.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver production AI data solutions.
