Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Data technologies) to design and implement AI‑driven data solutions at scale across cloud platforms. The role combines architecture, coding, and mentoring to deliver production‑ready pipelines and semantic retrieval systems.

You will work with Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery, build vector search, and guide data governance while partnering with global teams on strategic AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in software or data engineering with hands‑on AI experience.
• Experience designing enterprise‑grade AI and data solutions.
• Strong debugging and production deployment skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI data solutions across cloud data platforms.
• Prototype and productionize LLM-based systems for dynamic SQL and retrieval.
• Build and maintain vector search capabilities with OpenSearch.
• Develop metadata and data catalog layers for LLM reasoning.
• Deliver reliable, scalable data pipelines for AI workloads.
• Advise on technology selection and strategic direction.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams on production deployments.
• Experience with semantic data layers is a plus.
