Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver scalable software products that blend cloud-native microservices with generative AI/LLM capabilities. You will own critical technical decisions, drive engineering best practices, and ensure secure, production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities include designing full-stack solutions, leading AI-driven capabilities, and promoting enterprise AI practices within an Agile team.

Qualifications

Formal training in Software Engineering with 5+ years of experience in production environments.
Strong system design and operational reliability skills.
Hands-on experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with evaluation of AI outputs.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security.
Experience with LLMs and generative AI use cases.
Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face is preferred.
Experience with distributed systems and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and data technologies.

Responsibilities

Design and develop full-stack software solutions with AI capabilities.
Lead AI-driven capabilities, including LLM-based services and orchestration.
Adopt enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery.
Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, testing, and secure coding practices.
Architect and deliver cloud-native microservices and APIs with security controls.
Automate recurring operational issues to improve stability and observability.
Communicate status and priorities across multiple initiatives.
Collaborate within a Scrum team and promote diversity and inclusion.
Code in Java, AWS ECS/EKS, and Postgres; utilize AI agents to improve delivery.
