Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, build, and operate critical tech solutions within Asset and Wealth Management Advisor & Investment Technology. You will contribute to production code, mentor peers, and raise engineering standards across the lifecycle.

You will lead adoption of enterprise AI-assisted development practices, ensure secure coding, and drive reliability and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of modern architectures and patterns including microservices, REST APIs, event-driven design and NoSQL data stores.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and services; working knowledge of AWS.
• Demonstrated experience delivering at least two large, complex applications end-to-end.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps toolchains, observability, and agile delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation for correctness, performance and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling and resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting with non-routine approaches.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code from others.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery within validated standards.
• Applies SDLC tools and automation to improve value from automation.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve operational stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and teams to assess architectural designs.
