Job summary

Bluevine, a leading small business banking platform, seeks an experienced AI-focused engineer to automate high-friction processes across go-to-market, operations, and corporate functions. You will design practical AI workflows, agents, and lightweight tools, delivering measurable efficiency gains and scalable solutions.

Reporting to R&D leadership, you will work with non-technical stakeholders to translate needs into actionable plans, ensuring robust SDLC practices and maintainable systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, solutions engineering, or similar hands-on technical role.
• Strong coding and scripting skills, in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, with automations, integrations, workflows, or AI-powered solutions.
• Experience with AI tools and platforms such as OpenAI, Gemini, Copilot, AI agents, LLM workflows, prompt engineering, retrieval workflows, and related evaluation methods.
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders to turn business needs into well-scoped solutions.
• Understanding of APIs, browser automation, workflow tooling, and low-code/no-code tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-friction workflows that can be improved using AI and automation.
• Design and build AI-powered workflows, agents, automations, browser-based tools, integrations, and lightweight apps.
• Translate business problems into technical solutions, plan implementation, and select tools for each use case.
• Apply software engineering and SDLC best practices for secure, scalable solutions.
• Evaluate the right tools and patterns, including LLM workflows, agents, and scripting.
• Create reusable components, documentation, and standards; measure efficiency gains and outcomes.
• Measure impact via efficiency gains, time savings, adoption, and quality improvements.
