Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - AI and Automation within Corporate Technology. You will join an agile team to design, build, and deliver trusted tech products in a secure, scalable way while serving as a core technical contributor across multiple business areas.

You will own full lifecycle of automation/AI initiatives, implement observability and governance, and drive enterprise AI-enabled engineering practices with an emphasis on security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or SQL.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and secure coding practices.
• Strong understanding of agile methods, CI/CD, and security expectations.

Responsibilities

• Executes innovative software solutions and troubleshoots complex problems.
• Develops secure, production-grade code and reviews peers’ work.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices for higher quality and speed.
• Leads with external vendors and internal teams on architectural designs.
• Owns full lifecycle of multiple automation/AI initiatives and deployments.
• Builds services and workflows that integrate with infrastructure platforms.
• Develops agentic AI solutions with guardrails and validation.
• Defines observability, SLOs, alerts, and incident playbooks.
• Acts as a technical advisor on architecture decisions and tradeoffs.
