Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Lead Agentic Software Engineer II to drive AI/ML, analytics, and generative AI initiatives for client programs in the US. You will translate business needs into production-ready workflows, oversee data pipelines, and guide teams in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms.

You will define KPIs and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a technical field.
• 6+ years of experience architecting, designing, building, testing, and deploying production tech solutions in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, QE, or SDLC delivery.
• 3+ years of experience leading code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
• 3+ years of experience building cloud-native apps on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 1+ years of experience architecting or deploying generative AI, LLM, or agentic solutions in production.
• 1+ years of experience implementing LLM orchestration, prompt workflows, tool use, RAG, or multi-agent workflows.
• Ability to travel 0-50%; must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, deployment, and support of AI/ML, analytics, automation, and generative AI solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical plans, components, and production workflows.
• Oversee data pipelines, model integration, validation, and scalable assets.
• Manage delivery workstreams and guide teams using Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and data tools.
• Define and monitor KPIs for solution quality, model performance, data health, and business impact.
• Mentor junior practitioners and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure responsible, repeatable delivery.
