Job summary

Castelion Corporation in Torrance, CA is hiring a Senior Tooling Engineer to own end-to-end tooling development for our aerospace products. You will architect and implement innovative tooling that meets aggressive cost, quality, and delivery targets on the production floor.

Responsibilities include tooling design, process optimization, project leadership, and ensuring compliance with AS9100/NADCAP standards while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of tooling design and development experience.
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing and regulated environments preferred.
• Ability to lead tooling projects, mentor juniors, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Tooling Design and Development: design and develop complex tooling systems for aerospace manufacturing; use CAD to create tool designs and validate durability and precision.
• Process Optimization: improve tooling efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve product quality.
• Project Leadership: manage tooling projects from concept to production, including timelines, budgets, and resources; mentor junior staff.
• Quality and Compliance: ensure designs meet AS9100/NADCAP standards and customer specs; support DFM and inspection criteria.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with design, supply chain, and production to ensure manufacturability and readiness.
