Job summary

Cosmic Shielding Corporation seeks a hands-on Quality Leader to drive quality excellence across design, manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and testing of mission-critical space hardware. You will own and build the Quality Management System, verify AS9100 compliance, and lead cross-functional teams toward a quality-first mindset.

The Lead Quality Engineer will head root-cause investigations, CAPA, nonconformance, supplier quality initiatives, and continuous improvement, while supporting audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years quality experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or high-reliability industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead AS9100 certification efforts, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and improve the Quality Management System for scalability and operational excellence.
• Own document control, configuration management, nonconformance, CAPA, and audit readiness.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and program teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and implement quality plans, process controls, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead root cause investigations and data-driven improvement efforts.
