Job summary

Luminator Technology Group in Plano, TX is seeking a Lead Aerospace Certification Engineer to drive certification for aircraft lighting and software systems. The role splits between leading certification activities and overseeing the onsite test laboratory to ensure readiness and compliance with FAA/EASA requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, suppliers, customers, and regulators to shape certification strategies, perform DO-160 testing, and support installation approvals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in aerospace, avionics, or regulated product development.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification processes or compliance testing.
• Experience with lab or environmental testing (DO-160 or similar).
• Strong technical writing and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support certification planning and execution for aircraft lighting and control systems.
• Prepare compliance documentation, qualification test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Coordinate environmental qualification testing (DO-160) and photometric performance.
• Provide oversight of onsite engineering test laboratories, including readiness, equipment capability, and lab compliance.
